Character Separation

This is in response to several instances lately that I have seen in which players have failed to maintain character separation, instead using knowledge and motives from one character to influence their actions towards players on another. This is particularly problematic when a player chooses to use their influence in multiple clans to target a player who they dislike.

Effective immediately, I will be actively policing for this to ensure that proper consequences are imposed against those who fail to maintain character separation.

For example: If you particularly dislike a player or their playstyle(especially if it is based on what you have seen on another character), and you choose to attack them, you cannot go to your clan and use this as your excuse for your actions. This is completely unfair, and is the equivalent of attacking that player with zero justification and will from now on be enforced as such.

Another example: Being attacked by a player, then using other characters of yours to attempt to warrant or punish them. This is the equivalent of warranting a player unprovoked and will receive an appropriate response.

Does this mean that if you dislike a player, you cannot make a new character who goes around murdering them? You absolutely can. But because you have no valid in-character justification for your actions, you should expect to receive retribution for your unprovoked attack.

If you have questions or would like more clarification, please feel free to reach out to me or post on the General Discussion board.

Thanks for listening,
Galnor
