Also the Art of Blancing PK
abs bashers
when fighting other bashers the key to suceeding in pk is getting your bash off first, a skilled basher will spam bash rather than spam kill x then bash, but starting a disengaged bash vs a stabber could get you stabbed, vs a channie could get you blinded, air scythed, or fireballed if the bash fails. Once you have successfully bashed a basher you need to pay close attention to the timer so you can get your next bash started before your opponent, with my bad ping I usually cant rebash someone ive bashed so ill flee the room run a few rooms and make them move around and try to beat them to another disengaged bash.
People seem to not realize it take 89% notice to counter high hide, if you fighting a thief toggle notice on and hit k x a few times
89% notice 89% notice 89% notice remember this
When fighting using track vs a stabber, as the thief flees around and you track, if you notice his tracks going north, you go north and notice his tracks go back south take it for granted he reentered the last room you was in and started his stab timer on you, wait a few seconds for it to run out hit k x and go back in the room, always be wary of walking into a stab, when you track hit k x before you start the track timer then k x after the track timer has ended to be on the safe side.
thieves
your strength lies in stealth, thieves are not meant as melee characters, once you have been spotted your chances at a kill have dwindled considerably, mob usage comes into effect here. as a troll thief use mobs that agroe humans such as trees, trolls, cats bears, etc. hide around them wait for the human to enter and engage you, once the mob has engaged them flee out and come back starting you stab timer if possible. Or hide spam backstab and wait for them to enter and if they flee out of room your timer is still going and they may come back into the stab. This does not work vs channies as they can melee a mob and throw weaves at you, vs a channie you need to use mobs that will break their def such as blight patty, trees etc.
Another advantage troll theives have over humans is we are always on foot, when fighting a human you want them to use commands that will allow you a chance at getting a stab started. Commands such as track and dismount tend to work in a trolls favor, use areas with many exit rooms so they have to track alot, and also use noride rooms so they have to take the extra time of dismounting and remounting.
If you are fighting a human thief you can have a stab fight but very few human thieves will do such without calling for backup, the one advantage you have over a human thief is your moves, one trick I like to do; if the odds are against me is try to stab the horse the human has just dismounted or even melee it, when the human comes in to assist the horse you kick the human, this tends to piss humans off to no end. I say exploit the oppositions weakness to its fullest potential, very little is fair in this world so do what you have to to get the kill.
Channies
Are overpowered imho so I wont give any tips on how to play one.
The key to fun pk
The key to fun pk is to not totally rule your opposition, if your playing a channie vs a solo troll allow him to run to some mobs or his patty, if your a troll with one helper vs a human non channie, allow him to go to mobs such as trees, grouping should be used as a last resort in pk unless you are the underdog, the key is to always keep the balance without totally ruling the opposition, you want those your fighting to think they have a chance at suceededing and thus coming back for more.
My finaly advice is a pker who is afraid or unwilling to take chances is a player who either wont get many kills or wont have other pkers enthused about pking against them. Running into your home city at scratched is boring to all players and counter productive to pk.[/b]
