Is wotmud gone? I did my semi annual check of these two forums and I notice the forums are down. wintin won't work for some reason so I have no way to check if the game itself is gone.

Long story short, a guy was griefing players, got banned, then he started a DDOS on the forums which also lagged the game. Imms shut down the mud to deal with things, then decided while everything was down and Flash was around that they would update the servers along with lots of code.

They will eventually reopen a "mud classic" which will be like DM but with rules, then open "Wotmud 5.0" whenever they are finished. No time frame actually given. Updates are being given on twitter and fb, which I can link if people want. Pretty sure "wotmudders" and "wotmud" are derogatory terms here tho.

Well I've played this game a lot and if I was still playing muds I'm sure I'd play this one but I do like to read their forums.
